Greetings,
Welcome to the Zeta Chapter of Kappa Theta Pi, TCNJ’s own professional technology fraternity. I am Matthew Holzer, KTP’s current president, and on behalf of our chapter I am pleased to extend a warm welcome and share with you the exciting developments happening within our organization!
Kappa Theta Pi is the nation’s first Co-Ed Professional Technology Fraternity. Originating from the University of Michigan, the Zeta Chapter was established here at TCNJ with the help of our founding members in 2019. Our brotherhood takes pride in our five pillars: professional development, alumni connections, social growth, technological advancement, and academic support. From professional development workshops to hackathons to community service events, our brothers work hard to uphold these principles and strengthen the bond with each other. We would like to invite you to join our dedicated and accomplished community here at TCNJ.
Kappa Theta Pi is distinct in its inclusivity. Our fraternity welcomes individuals from all majors and disciplines, valuing the diverse perspectives and strengths that each member brings to our brotherhood. Unlike with major-specific organizations, we unite individuals who share a curiosity and passion for technology. Regardless of how much or little technology experience you have, we celebrate a culture of growth where our brothers are supported and encouraged to continue learning about the area every day.
As we approach our 9th rush season, we are very excited to welcome more students into the brotherhood from various majors, years, and backgrounds. Beyond the enjoyable brotherhood events, KTP is a professional fraternity committed to preparing its members for the professional world, offering guidance on resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and connections with our esteemed alumni in notable companies.
Kappa Theta Pi provides an inclusive and encouraging environment to enhance your college experience. We adhere to a "work hard, play hard" philosophy, emphasizing the importance of being a well-rounded student. Through various professional development, social engagements, and community service events, our fraternity ensures that members experience the best aspects of college life while contributing meaningfully to society.
In my capacity as President, I am enthusiastic about leading the chapter this semester. Working closely with the E-board, our goal is to curate top-notch events and opportunities for our members. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone with an interest in technology or a desire to form professional connections to consider rushing for Kappa Theta Pi. Join us, not just to meet friends, but to create lasting memories and cultivate valuable skills for your future.
Best regards,
Matthew Holzer
